Code4Dev Community Actions:

At Code4Dev, we're committed to promoting computer literacy and empowering young entrepreneurs, early-career professionals, and high-school students in Burundi. To achieve our goals, we're engaging in a range of community actions that help us make a positive impact on the local tech ecosystem. Here are six community actions that we're pursuing:

  • Hosting Coding Bootcamps: We're organizing coding bootcamps for high school students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals in Burundi. These bootcamps offer hands-on coding experience and help participants develop their skills while working on real-world projects.
  • Collaborating with Local Tech Communities: We're partnering with local tech communities to organize events and workshops that promote computer literacy and technology skills. This collaboration provides opportunities for participants to connect with industry professionals and explore career opportunities.
  • Offering Internship and Mentorship Programs: We're offering internship and mentorship programs that provide participants with hands-on experience working on technology projects with local and international organizations, as well as mentorship and support from experienced professionals in the field.
  • Providing Technical Support to Local NGOs: We're providing technical support to local NGOs in Burundi by developing websites, mobile applications, and other technology-based solutions that support their missions.
  • Supporting Local Tech Startups: We're supporting local tech startups in Burundi by providing them with access to funding, mentorship, and technical support. This support helps startups overcome the challenges of starting and growing a tech business in Burundi and contributes to the development of the local tech ecosystem.
  • Hosting Tech Conferences: We're hosting tech conferences in Burundi that bring together industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and academics to share insights and best practices in the field of technology.
